We spent the first four hours of our anniversary trip sitting on the tar-mac at Sky Harbor with maintenance issues. Although it was a bummer, we were thankful they discovered them ON the ground as opposed to IN the AIR! So consequently we missed our connecting flight from Philly to Puerto Rico, so we stayed the night in an airport hotel without our luggage. Didn't plan on wearing long sleeves & jeans to sunny Puerto Rico!
a view off our balcony in Puerto Rico
the pretty grounds...
and dinner out to a tasty place in town...
I loved how the streets were lined with cobblestone & the building were all so colorful!
So we're finally on our ship! So excited to see what cruising is all about! At this point we were sitting in the port so PR is in the background...
at night we loved heading out to watch the sunset or just to see stuff :)
The next morning...Our first port was St. Croix. A very relaxing day on a beautiful beach! I guess it was windy by the looks of my hair! :)
and here we are in St. Maarten...
and then Antigua...one of our two favorites. Great snorkeling and a quiet, clean, beautiful beach with a restaurant & yummy umbrella drinks!
I LOVED this water!
a picture off our balcony at sundown-just breathtaking!
St. Lucia was our other favorite. We took a boat ride to our beach we stayed at for the day with the sweetest tour guide named Spencer. He took us through this quaint little dock with beautiful homes & boats.
on our boat with our French friends-the wife on bottom left. She spoke no English, but her husband on right did. So I guess technically I can't call her "friend." :)
this was our beach for the day with the BEAUTIFUL Pitons in the background!
the self-proclaimed "Coconut Man" was awesome! probably a highlight for Mike!
our other French friend in the background-notice (or don't ;) the VERY short swim trunks. I hope that never comes back in style in the U.S.! We had a choice of taking a boat ride or taxi on pretty much every island we visited. I was SO glad we got to see this amazing island by boat! We would have missed so much from land!
Pitons!
a little natural-made tunnel. Boys were jumping off into the water, & came up to our boat asking for Cokes from the tour guides! That's not something you see every day!
Our final port was Barbados...
where we literally felt like the skin was an egg on a frying pan!
BEST.TRIP.EVER!!!!
We were excited to see the boys (after 10 days!) who later said they didn't miss us. :)
I guess that was a win-win!

I love the anniversary pics. We're heading out of town for our 10 year at the end of september and i've been nervous about leaving the kids- I hope they don't miss me like yours didn't miss you!!! :)
