Baseball

Yes, it HAS been a busy couple months! We signed the boys up for baseball, and then found out the school was offering soccer. So, at the time that we signed up (FOR BOTH SPORTS :), there would only be a 2-week overlap. THEN, the baseball season was changed (due to irrigation of the field on two Saturdays), so the season was extended. SO for the most part, we've had soccer/baseball practice &/0r games 5 days/week for about 8 weeks now!@#$% (insert big eyes.) Both were very fun experiences for the boys, so that's what matters, right? Somehow, by God's grace, we managed to do homework, too.

Michael up to bat...

I love this team huddle shot. :)
The team at their last game...just becoming buddies and it's over...for now at least. :)

Baseball was yet another season of sweet coaching by the same guys the boys have always had since Michael started t-ball 3 years ago. They LOVE kids, love playing ball, and they love Jesus! (bonus). Michael moved up to "coach pitch" this season which he loved. He's become very competitive, and LOVES to keep track of scores in everything he plays. It's cute, not overkill...yet. :) So a huge learning curve for him as he learned that you can't swing at the ball all day until you hit it, and that you can run more than one base at a time!, and that if you are the last batter for the inning, you don't automatically get a "home run." haha. He did hit two home runs this year which was VERY exciting! I think I may just be one of those crazy, screaming, annoying baseball moms one day soon! ;) Anyway, we look forward to starting up again in the Fall.

Fun times! I think it is so sweet that you guys let the kids do fun stuff like this together. Good memories for all the cousins.
